Primary Physical Education and Sport Premium ‘One Stop Shop’

I'm interested in this programme

For the next two years the government is providing additional funding for primary schools to improve the provision of physical education. This funding is ring-fenced and can therefore only be spent on the provision of PE and School Sport. Manchester Primary Schools receive an average grant of £9,000 for the academic year, with a lump sum of £8,000 plus a premium of £5 per primary-aged pupil (between the ages of 5 and 11).

Funding can be allocated in the following ways:

It is important for schools to be aware that the Pupil Premium can be used in a number of ways to maximise your resources and sustainability of PE and School Sport.

All Active School Services; Active education, Active sport, Active lifestyle and Active adventures can all be funded through Primary Premium.

GreaterSport have produced a guide for Manchester schools on the effective use of Primary School Sport Premium. For more information please download ‘A GUIDE TO USING YOUR PRIMARY SCHOOL SPORT PREMIUM’.
